The men will be looking for strong performances in all the distance events during the meet to help them out. Junior Collin Mulcahy, senior Nick Watson, and sophomores Bobby Cooper and Pat Shenal will be competing in the 800 Meter Run. Collin and Bobby will be doubling up in the Mile Run as well. Senior Zakk Hess is ranked first in the 3000 Meter Run and will be looking to stay at the top this weekend. He is joined in the 3000 Meter Run by junior Kyle Collins and seniors Chris Shartrand and Steve Whittemore. Kyle, Zakk, and Chris will be doubling up in the 5000 Meter Run as well. Other qualifiers on the track include seniors Jeremy Kozlowski and JM Knapp in the 400 Meter Dash, as they look to move up the crowd into scoring range.
The men will also be looking to the field for a lot of their points. Freshmen Mitch Paciga and Rocky Caparro, as well as sophomore Brian Farfaglia will be competing in the High Jump. Rocky is also competing in the Triple Jump as well. In the throws, Fredonia will be led by freshmen Damone Brown and Brian Bernier in the Shot Put, while juniors Hsin Chin, Kevin Geiser, and Sawyer Bell, as well as sophomore Kyle Brown, will be competing in the Weight Throw. Justyn Haines will also be competing in the Pole Vault this weekend.
This year is the first year the SUNYAC Championships will be hosting the Heptathlon. The Blue Devils will have three competitors looking to score in that event as well. Senior Doug Imperi, freshman Mitch Paciga, and sophomore Brendan Long will all be looking to finish near the top in the Heptathlon.
The women will be looking to the field for most of their scoring this weekend. The throwing events are led by senior Niki Desens, who is ranked first in the Shot Put and seventh in the Weight Throw. Joining her in the Shot Put will be freshman Anneliese Bienko and junior Brianne Paganello, while senior Jenna Fiacco, junior Heather Rickman, and freshman Rachel Williams will join her in the Weight Throw. The Pole Vault is looking to be another high scoring event as well as the Blue Devils have five participants. Junior Olivia Kurbs, sophomore Taylor Benzin, and freshmen Kristen Sawyer, Julia Schreier, and Mikayla Capestrani will all be competing in the Pole Vault. Mikayla is also competing in the Long Jump, and senior Meghan Devine is competing in the Triple Jump this weekend. Freshmen Brittany Feldman and Sarah Couperus are also competing in the High Jump as well.
On the track, junior Anna Dambacher will be running in the 60 Meter Dash as well as the 200 Meter Dash, looking to finish near the top of each event. Freshman Brittany Feldman will be running the 400 Meter Dash, looking to break her own school record as well as move up in the event. Laura Morrison will be looking to do the same thing when she competes in the 800 Meter Run this weekend. She is joined in the 800 Meter Run by sophomore Bonnie Binggeli. Senior Hailey Griewisch will be competing in the 60 Meter Hurdles and junior Lauren Kotas will be competing in the 3000 Meter Run as well for the Blue Devils.
