The top performers on the women's side included senior Niki Dessens in the shot put, who finished third with a throw of 12.15 meters, and senior Jenna Fiacco and junior Heather Rickman in the weight throw. Jenna finished fifth with a throw of 13.59 meters, while Heather finished sixth with a throw of 13.22 meters.
Four women's pole vaulters had strong performances as well. Freshman Julia Schreier (7th place; 3.30 meters), junior Olivia Kurbs (9th place; 3.15 meters), freshman Mikayla Capestrani (11th place; 3.15 meters), and freshman Kristen Sawyer (12th place; 3.15 meters) all finished out well for the Blue Devils.
On the men's side, junior Kevin Geiser finished fifth in the weight throw with a throw of 12.38 meters, freshman Rocky Caparro finished 9th in the triple jump with a jump of 13.18 meters, senior Doug Imperi finished eleventh in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.66, and freshman Mitch Paciga finished 13th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.05.
The Blue Devils will be traveling back to Cornell next weekend for the Marc Deneault Invitational. That will be their last meet before the SUNYAC Championships.
