For the women, Brittany Feldman had an exceptional day, clocking in at 56.53 in the 400m, which was good enough to place 4th in the meet. Her time also broke her own previous school record in the event. Feldman also ran the 200m placing 15th with a time of 25.87. Laura Morrison took to the track for the Invitational 1500m where she finished in 4:38.25 for 32nd place; her time also secured her the school record. Morrison also ran the 800m placing 12th with a time of 2:12.76.
Other stand out performances for the women include Bonnie Binggeli who ran 4:52.76 in the 1500 (36th) and a PR of 2:21.25 in the 800 (59th), Stephanie Wojnowski with a PR in the 3000 steeplechase in a time of 11:44.31 (31st), Hannah Kurbs, running a 18:39.61 5000m (41st), and Sarah Couperus who placed 10th in the high jump with a jump of 1.60m
The men’s side also saw many PRs, most notable of which was Kyle Collins, who placed 14th in the 5000m with a time of 14:32.57. His 22 second PR was just 1 second off of the school record. Collin Mulcahy also had a great weekend, getting PRs in both the 1500 (21st Place, 3:51.94) and the 800 (1:52.55, 12th place). In the field, senior Hsin Chin threw personal bests in the discus (43.26m, 13th place) and in the hammer throw (53.12m, 8th place). The top placing male athlete for the weekend was Justyn Haines, who cleared 4.50m in the pole vault, placing him in 4th.
Other notable performances on the track include Bobby Cooper with a PR in the 800 (1:57.90) for 89th place, Merlin Joseph, 44th in the 1500 (4:04.71) and 87th in the 800 (1.57.86), Pat Shenal running a personal record 4:05.39 in the 1500 (51st) , Zakk Hess with a 9:43.76 steeplechase (36th). In the field Nick Serafin placed 13th in the high jump with a height of 1.84m, Rocky Caparro was 10th in the triple jump (13.59m), and Damone Brown threw a season best 13.84m in the shot put, placing him in 20th place.
