Senior, Spencer Lefort is through day one of the Men's Heptathlon with a day one score and school record of 2,650 points.
Day 2 of the hep begins today with the 60m Hurdles.
In the Men's open 60 Hurdles, Freshman, Eric Williams and Senior, Carl Caughell ran personal record times to advance to the finals held today. Williams ran a time of 8.26 seconds while Caughell ran 8.32. Both will be looking to drop under 8.20 to challenge for a trip to the NCAA Championships being held next week in Naperville, IL at North Central College.
In the women's Shot Put, sophomore Nikki Desens threw 12.05m (39'6.25) to become the first Blue Devil to score in the competition taking 8th place.
Moving back to the track the Men's DMR had a season best of 10:17.86, bettering the second fastest time in school history set earlier this season. They finished in 5th place scoring 4 points in the event.
The women's distance medley relay of Lauren Kotas, Leslie Beaton, Katie Tresino, and Amanda Cocchiara shattered the school record of 12:44.74 with a time of 12:36.49 scoring two points for 7th place in the event.
Races being competed by Blue Devils today are the men's mile, women's 800, women's 1,000, women's weight throw, the men's 60m hurdles final, women's long jump, men's 4x800m relay, women's 4x800m relay, and day 2 of the men's heptathlon.
