The women had a pair of winners at the meet, as freshman Julia Schreier won the Pole Vault with a vault of 3.35 meters, or 10’11.75”, and senior Nicole Desens won the Shot Put for the second straight meet, with a throw of 12.55 meters, or 41’2.25”.
Joining Julia in scoring for the Pole Vault were two other freshman, Kristen Sawyer (2nd Place, 3.35 meters) and Mikayla Capestrani (4th place, 3.20 meters). Fellow freshman Sarah Couperus finished 5th place overall in the High Jump with a jump of 1.50 meters.
Scorers on the track for the women include sophomore Laura Morrisson, who finished in 2nd place in the 800 Meters with a time of 2:18.70. Junior Lauren Kotas took 3rd place in the Mile with a time of 5:22.77. Freshman Brittany Feldman finished 4th overall in the 400 Meters with a time of 1:01.16 and also finished in 8th place in the 60 Meter Dash with a time of 8.40 seconds.
The top finisher for the men was junior Collin Mulcahy. Collin won the 800 Meters with a time of 1:57.73. Joining Collin in scoring in the 800 were senior Nick Watson (4th place, 1:59.12), and senior Zakk Hess (6th place, 1:59.98).
Freshman Mitch Paciga finished 2nd overall in the High Jump with a jump of 1.88 meters. He also finished 8th overall in the 60 Meter Hurdles with a time of 9.41. Freshman Rocky Caparro finished 2nd place in the Triple Jump with a jump of 13.73 meters, and freshman Damone Brown finished 7th overall in the Shot Put with a throw of 13.74 meters. Junior Hsin Chin was the only other scorer for the men in the field with a 7th place finish in the Weight Throw. He threw for 15.04 meters.
The Blue Devils will be competing this Saturday in the Robert Kane Invitational at Cornell University, with the Multis competing at Ithaca College on Saturday and Sunday.
