This Tuesday our disappointment turned to excitement, as the men made their debut on the NCAA Atlantic Region Top 10 at number eight. Now, we could be disappointed that our women didn't receive the same recognition, but we are not, because we have opened the eyes of the rest of the region and proved not only to the men that their hard work is paying off, but the women as well. This gives us all great confidence that it's only a matter of time before the women will be on that list too.
HOWEVER, with success and recognition comes more pressure and expectation. Pressure and expectation that will create challenges and obstacles making it difficult for any team to continue to have success and make progress toward their goals, but what makes this group of young men and women special is the great faith they have in themselves as individuals and each other as a team. This faith will not only make them capable of handling the added pressure, but will also give them the strength to continue to exceed everyone's expectations in the process!
Congratulations to our men, but I can assure you the best is yet to come from these young men and women!
IT'S A GREAT TIME TO BE A BLUE DEVIL!
