Sophomore Laura Morrison broke the 800 Meter record with a time of 2:12.35, freshman Brittany Feldman broke the 400 Meter record with a time of 58.38, freshman Julia Schreier broke the Pole Vault record with a vault of 3.42 meters (11’2.5”), and the 4x400 Relay team of Laura, Brittany, junior Anna Dambacher, and senior Kim Foltz broke the record with a time of 3:57.96.
Anna Dambacher also ran a season best in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 12.93. Kim Foltz ran a season best in the 800 Meter Run as well, with a time of 2:18.90. The Blue Devils had two runners in the 1500 Meter Run, with junior Lauren Kotas (4:52.62) and sophomore Bonnie Binggeli (4:55.74) both setting season bests.
The men also had several season bests at Bucknell. Seniors JM Knapp (51.04) and Jeremy Kozlowski (51.71) accomplished that in the 400 Meter Dash. Junior Collin Mulcahy ran a season best in both the 800 Meter Run and the 1500 Meter Run this past weekend, with times of 1:52.99 and 3:55.42 respectively. Joining Collin in the 800 was senior Nick Watson, who ran a 1:56.12, and joining him in the 1500 was sophomore Robert Cooper, who ran a time of 4:06.93.
Junior Kyle Collins ran a personal best in the 5000 Meter Run with a time of 14:54.86. Joining him in the 5000 was senior Zakk Hess, who ran a time of 15:20.18. Sophomore Cody Martini ran his first 10,000 Meter Run of his collegiate career, and clocked in with a time of 33:16.45. Freshman Chase Towse improved on his 400 Meter Hurdle time on the season, with a time of 56.91. Senior Chris Shartrand also improved on his 3000 Meter Steeplechase time when he finished with a time of 9:31.48.
The Blue Devils saw a lot of season bests, along with the four records that were broken, at Bucknell this past weekend. They will look to keep the momentum going heading into their two-day meet at SUNY Cortland this Friday and Saturday.
