The 4x400 Meter Relay team of junior Anna Dambacher (60.0 split), senior Kim Foltz (60.8 split), freshman Brittany Feldman (56.8 split), and sophomore Laura Morrison (58.4 split) broke the school record. They finished with a time of 3:56.05, which was good enough for 2nd place this past weekend.
Laura also finished 1st overall in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 58.87, while Kim took 6th place in the same event with a time of 1:00.65; Anna finished 4th place overall in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 26.41; and Brittany finished 4th overall in the High Jump, with a jump of 1.58 meters. Other top finishers on the track for the women include sophomore Julia Johnson (2nd place; 12:06.58) in the 3000 Meter Steeplechase and senior Hailey Griewisch (4th place; 16.07) in the 100 Meter Hurdles.
In the field, senior Nicole Desens finished in 1st place in the Shot Put (12.59 meters), 1st place in the Discus Throw (41.39 meters), and 3rd place in the Hammer Throw (44.87 meters). She was joined in the Shot Put by junior Brianne Paganello (7th place; 11.12 meters) and freshman Anneliese Bienko (11th place; 10.75 meters). Anneliese also placed 7th place in the Discus Throw (34.12 meters) and 7th place in the Javelin Throw (24.04 meters). Other top finishers in the field for the women include freshmen Julia Schreier (2nd place; 3.42 meters) and Kristen Sawyer (3rd place; 3.42 meters) in the Pole Vault; senior Jenna Fiacco in the Hammer Throw (7th place; 41.44 meters) and Discus Throw (9th place; 31.04 meters); senior Meghan Devine (8th place; 10.64 meters); and senior Heather Rickman (11th place; 38.84 meters).
The men competed in their first Decathlon of the season this weekend. Junior Tyler Gajewski and sophomore Brendan Long were the two competitors in that event. Tyler finished 7th place overall with a score of 5363 points while Brendan finished in 11th place with a score of 4398 points.
Top finishers on the track for the men include sophomore Bobby Cooper (6th place; 4:06.13) in the 1500 Meter Run; senior Steve Whittemore (4th place; 10:01.67) in the 3000 Meter Steeplechase; and senior Doug Imperi (9th place; 17.13) in the 110 Meter Hurdles.
Top finishers in the field for the men include sophomore Brian Farfaglia (8th place; 1.78 meters) in the High Jump; freshman Justyn Haines (9th place; 4.20 meters) in the Pole Vault; freshman Rocky Caparro (8th place; 13.53 meters) in the Triple Jump; freshman Damone Brown (8th place; 13.95 meters) in the Shot Put; junior Kevin Geiser (8th place; 40.65 meters) in the Discus Throw; and junior Sawyer Bell (8th place; 45.80 meters) in the Hammer Throw.
The Blue Devils have one more competition before their SUNYAC Championships. They will head to St. John Fisher Saturday, April 25.
