Senior Kyle Collins kicked off the meet with a 2nd place finish in the 5000m run. His time of 15:11.94 qualifies him for SUNYACs. Juniors Kara Hall and Alyssa Stroud also competed in the 5,000m run finishing in 3rd and 6th place respectively (19:21.84, 20:13.93) and qualifying for SUNYACs.
On Saturday, the field events began with senior Sawyer Bell and junior Kyle Brown finishing in 4th and 5th place respectively in the men's 35lb weight throw with SUNYAC qualifying marks (15.18m, 15.01m). Sophomore Damone Brown finished in 8th place in the men's shot put throwing a SUNYAC qualifying mark of 13.32m.
In the jumps, sophomore Sarah Couperus finished in 7th place in the women's high jump clearing a SUNYAC qualifying height of 1.55m. This jump also earned her a spot on the Fredonia track & field top ten list. Sophomores Julia Schreier and Kristen Sawyer finished in 6th and 8th place respectively in the women's pole vault clearing 3.30m and 3.15m and qualifying for SUNYACs. Junior Justyn Haines also had a great day in the men's pole vault finishing in 6th place with a SUNYAC qualifying height of 4.50m. His mark is also the 5th best performance in Fredonia track & field history in the event.
Outstanding performances on the track were numerous. They included a 3rd place finish for Kyle Collins in the 3,000m run with a SUNYAC qualifying time of 8:36.99 and a 7th place finish for senior Collin Mulcahy in the same event with a SUNYAC qualifying time of 8:56.01. In the women's 3,000m run senior Laura Morrison and junior Bonnie Binggeli finished in 3rd and 8th place respectively with SUNYAC qualifying times (10:22.02, 10:57.70). Brittany Felmdan set a new school record in the 300m dash with a time of 42.63. Both men's and women's Distance Medley Relay teams won their events running SUNYAC qualifying times of 10:36.74 and 12:29.09 respectively. The women's relay time broke the previous school record in the event set in 2013.
