Bernie Prabucki '83 has been selected to the Western New York Hall of Fame. Prabucki was a three-time NCAA Division III All-American between track and field and cross country as well as the 1982 NCAA Division III National Champion in the 5,000m. To date, Prabucki still holds school records in the Outdoor 5,000m and 10,000m, while also holding the third best indoor 5,000m and second best indoor 3,000m performances. Prabucki will be inducted on August 30th in Buffalo, N.Y.
The other two honoree's are Sean Kibrick '01 and Jeff Gruendike '00. The duo will be heading into the Kenmore West High School Hall of Fame on October 18th in Amherst, N.Y. Gruendike was an individual SUNYAC Champion 3-times during his career as a Blue Devil and still maintains several top ten list performances, as well as, the school record in the indoor 4x400m. A relay that earned Gruendike All-American honors in 1998.
Sean Kibrick, a former sprinter/hurdler for the Blue Devils, is part of the 4th best outdoor 4x400m relay in school history. Kibrick is now the Head Girl's and Boy's Coach at North Tonawanda High School.
